We know a lot of folks want to visit and see life on a farm, and we do our best to accommodate that.
Poole's Paradise Hill Farm is private property.
For your safety, and the safety of our animals we have established guidelines for visitors.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While we do have liability signs posted, I'll sum them up
here: Both Tennessee and Federal laws are clear:
If you are on a property with livestock, you are there voluntarily. Livestock come with inherent risk as they are living, breathing beings.
You assume ALL risk and liability by being on our property.
Below is other information to "chew" on:
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
1) If the weather is inclement, or has been the previous day, we may call and
reschedule your visit - especially in winter and early spring. We are a country farm
and rain & snow can make it very muddy, messy and slippery.
2) Dress appropriately. Translation..... wear something you don't mind getting dirty. Closed toe shoes are required to enter any area where our animals are. If it has been raining/snowing, bring
rubber boots if you have them.... which is standard attire at PPHFarm.
3) If you are "ailing" we ask that you avoid direct contact with our animals  (thats right, no smooches!) There are a lot of illnesses that can transfer from human to animal.
4) If you bring children - you are responsible for them. Please take a moment and explain to
them that there is no running, rough housing, yelling or loud voices in or near the
barn or pasture areas. That goes for the big people too. :)
5) INDOOR voices are preferred, especially when close to animals. Remember, donkeys do have
B I G ears..... better to hear you my dear.
6) If you have brought treats, please check with one of us before giving them out. We may
want them instead.
7) Do not bring your pets. Believe me, there's plenty here so you won't be lonely.
8) Do NOT enter a pasture without permission.
9) Farm equipment & tools are not toys - please do not allow your young ones to play on or with the equipment, we don't want anyone getting hurt.
10) We run live webcams on our farm. If you do not want to be seen over the
internet, ask us where the webcams are placed and don't
stand in front of them..
If you don't mind standing in front of the webcam, make sure to wave
H E L L O!
